However, as this article from Clinical Pain Medicine points out, assessing pain in deaf patients is even more challenging. After conducting four, 90-minute focus groups, Sandra LeFort, RN, PhD, and her colleagues, came up with several helpful insights to increase accuracy in assessing pain levels of deaf patients.
