Employee First Philosophy Earns HHS a Local Business Award

EDAWN AwardOctober 31, 2017 — Healing HealthCare Systems (HHS) has been recognized by the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) for its commitment to its employees.

HHS earned an EDAWN Existing Industry Award in the “Employees First, Small Business” category. The EDAWN awards recognize primary companies in the Western Nevada region for their outstanding contribution to the community in a variety of ways.

“We owe our success to our employees and are passionate about ensuring they are well taken care of both at and outside of work,” said Haydn Bertelson, Executive Vice President and COO of HHS. “We strive to be an employer of choice in the community, coupling incentives along with our mission of providing healing environments to the most vulnerable patient populations to attract and retain top talent in our region.”

In addition to the basics (health insurance, paid time off, and 401(k)), HHS offers employees a 35-hour work week that allows for an exceptional work-life balance. This unique schedule allows employees to wrap up their days at 3:30 (1 p.m. on Fridays) and puts everyone together each day for a quick lunch, often supplied by the company, where employees are able to develop closer connections with their team members.
