C.A.R.E. Programming in 24 Percent of Top 100 Hospitals

Top 100 Hospitals 2018April 24, 2018 — Twenty-four of the 100 best performing hospitals identified in the 2018 IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals study utilize C.A.R.E. Programming to create healing environments for patients and staff.

Featuring stunning nature video and music, C.A.R.E. is available in patient rooms to ease anxiety, reduce stress, and mitigate the harmful effects of hospital noise. And increasingly, C.A.R.E. is being used as a non-pharmacological approach for pain management, helping to reduce the need for opioids.

“We congratulate our hospital partners who achieved this important distinction,” said Haydn Bertelson, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Healing HealthCare Systems. “And we salute them for their continued commitment to improving the patient experience.”

Formerly known as the Truven Health Analytics 100 Top Hospitals, the annual study is based on a balanced scorecard of publicly available clinical, operational, and patient satisfaction metrics and data.
