St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon, is a national leader in heart, cancer, and orthopedic care.

Its unique healing environment and innovative approaches to care of the whole person (mind, body and spirit), hospital management, and quality improvements are widely acclaimed. St. Charles is the home of the Association of Healing Health Care Projects. It is the recipient of the Norman Cousins Award from the Fetzer Institute.

Healing HealthCare Systems developed a custom sound system for St. Charles, which broadcasts The C.A.R.E. Channel on hospital television and C.A.R.E. with Music over its audio system. Susan Mazer and Dallas Smith have also provided educational programs, done a meditation project, and recorded a special CD titled, "The Dance of Life," for St. Charles.
